Non Permitted Preliminary Field Reconnaissance (PFR)
Our first boots on the ground assessment. A field crew will assess a proposed development and make recommendations based on their findings. All PFRs are done by recognized professional archaeologists who will make sure to provide the recommendations that work best for you.
During the field work portion of the assessment, artifacts may be found on the surface, leading to the recording/updating of archaeological site(s), and Areas of [archaeological] Potential (AOPs) may be identified, but no artifact collection or intrusive testing will take place. Relevant data may include GPS information, mapping data, and a report on any results and recommendations.
