Need East Kootenay Archaeology specialists?

We offer solutions in Cultural Resource Management & Geomatics in the region and beyond

in compliance with the BC Heritage Conservation Act and First Nations’ guidelines.

When a gap exists in archaeological knowledge for a given area, using quantitative and qualitative methods, we can conduct an Archaeological Overview Assessment (AOA) and produce models of archaeological potential and/or sensitivity.

We will plot your development footprint with the relevant archaeological information and guide you through the following steps, if necessary.

When prior information is incomplete, we will assess the relevance of conducting further archaeological work via Preliminary Field Reconnaissance (PFR).

If the scope of work warrants it (i.e. where the project overlaps an area of high archaeological potential), we will conduct an Archaeological Impact Assessment (AIA) or monitor, using a Site Alteration Permit (SAP).
