Non-Permitted Preliminary Field Reconnaissance (PFR)
Our first boots-on-the-ground assessment. A field crew will assess a proposed development and make recommendations based on their findings. All PFRs are conducted by recognized professional archaeologists, who provide recommendations tailored to your needs.
During field work, artifacts may be found on the surface, leading to the recording or updating of archaeological site(s), and Areas of [archaeological] Potential (AOPs) may be identified, but no artifact collection or intrusive testing will take place. Relevant data may include GPS information, mapping data, and a report on any results and recommendations.
